About the role
Engineering & Technology department at Jio Platforms Limited maintains the state core fiber network. The State Core Maintenance Engineer Fiber manages assets, contracts, monitors fiber performance against SLAs, supports O&M, and coordinates issue resolution with the network operations center. Based in Vijayawada, on-site work required.
What you’ll do
- Manage assets, materials and contracts for core maintenance
- Monitor fiber network performance against SLAs
- Support O&M of infrastructure and access electronics
- Provide detailed fiber span information
- Coordinate with NOC for issue resolution
- Collaborate with O&M/ISP core team for critical issues
- Ensure sufficient material in CMP warehouse
- Drive KPI achievements and enforce quality, HSE policies
What you’ll bring
- 5-10 years experience in fiber network maintenance
- BE in ENTC, Mechanical or Electrical
- Knowledge of optical equipment installation
- Experience with OFC troubleshooting
- Familiarity with fiber splicing
- Understanding of quality, health, safety, environment and fire policies
- Collaboration and problem solving skills
