About the role

Gen Digital Data Platform team drives the strategic direction and architecture of the company's data infrastructure. The Lead Data Platform Engineer co-owns platform architecture, sets technical standards, mentors senior engineers, and leads modernization of legacy systems across the organization. Pune, India and Chennai, India, On-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Co-own and evolve data platform architecture across domains
• Guide technical vision for Data Engineering organization
• Design scalable architectures for multi‑TB daily workloads
• Define best practices and patterns organization‑wide
• Build self‑service infrastructure for hundreds of data consumers
• Architect IaC and GitOps frameworks
• Establish security frameworks and compliance
• Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years data platform engineering
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and another language
• Deep experience with Kafka ecosystem
• Advanced Kubernetes and Docker at scale
• AWS cloud-native architecture
• Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
• Modern data stack tools like dbt and Looker
• MLOps and machine learning infrastructure
