About the role

Hardware Testing Engineering team ensures Google’s custom-designed machines operate reliably. The Lab Manager maintains a safe, organized silicon validation lab, oversees inventory, performs hardware and network troubleshooting, and supports engineers with test equipment and protocols. Bengaluru, on-site, hybrid schedule with occasional vendor visits.

What you’ll do

• Maintain clean, organized, safe lab environment and manage inventory
• Handle incoming/outgoing shipments and equipment packing
• Install, diagnose, and troubleshoot computer, server, and network hardware
• Perform Linux system administration for lab networks and test setups
• Assist with user setups and lab hardware inventory

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years hand soldering experience with SMT components up to 0402

Nice to have

• 3 years vendor management and procurement of electromechanical and lab components
• 3 years PCB and FPCB rework including soldering and de‑soldering
• 3 years rapid prototyping techniques such as laser cutting and 3D printing
• 3 years integrating complex systems like audio, video, compute, optics
• 3 years creating and maintaining technical documentation
• 3 years testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis
