About the role
Analog and Mixed Signal design team at Cadence Design Systems builds high‑speed D2D and SERDES products on leading‑edge technology nodes. The Lead Design Engineer drives IC circuit block design from concept through verification, collaborates with layout engineers and global technical leads, and mentors the team. Bangalore, on‑site, hybrid schedule with global coordination.
What you’ll do
- Design high‑speed D2D and SERDES IC blocks
- Develop analog/mixed‑signal circuits from spec to verification
- Collaborate with layout engineers on IC and PMA sections
- Coordinate with global teams across US time zones
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews
What you’ll bring
- BEng/MEng/PhD in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years CMOS design experience
- Experience with SERDES or high‑speed I/O IC design
- Understanding of jitter and signal equalization
- Proficiency with CAD simulation and layout tools
Nice to have
- Design of Driver, Receiver, Serializer, Deserializer blocks
- Low jitter PLL and high‑speed clock distribution design
- Experience in >10Gbps and <16nm technologies
