Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, with a strong background in the airline and travel industry. The role involves gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, analyzing data, and proposing solutions to improve business processes and enhance the B2B channel experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure successful implementation of solutions that drive operational efficiency.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the airline or travel industry.
• Strong understanding of the airline industry, B2B channel dynamics, airline distribution systems, travel agency operations, and revenue management.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization tools).
• Familiarity with airline reservation systems and global distribution systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport.
• Ability to effectively gather, document, and translate business requirements from diverse stakeholders, including airlines and travel agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting data analysis, and proposing solutions.

Nice to have

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Departure Control Systems (DCS), Resource Management Systems (RMS), and self-service technologies.
• Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) and providing ongoing support to end-users.
• Skills in developing training materials and documentation for end-users.
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication between business and IT teams.
