About the role
The Software Engineer II role sits on a team responsible for technically supporting editorial relationships and licenses for secondary content at Elsevier. As a Salesforce developer, you will engage directly with global, multi-functional teams to provide user support, assist in strategic development and enhancement of the Salesforce CRM, and act as the business-facing Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce technology stack. You will work across Chennai and Bengaluru.
What you’ll do
- Work directly with various business leaders and sales teams; direct accountability for end-user support
- Provide system and business process expertise when scoping projects and related integrations
- Review solution summaries where appropriate to ensure adherence to best practices and fit-for-purpose, user-focused development
- Integration monitoring and trouble-shooting
- Documentation and knowledge sharing; technical, business process, best practice, reference architecture, etc.
- Applies advanced Salesforce technical principles and concepts; contributes to the development of new principles and concepts
- Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives; assignments are often self-initiated, determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired resu
What you’ll bring
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field preferred
- 1+ years previous administrative experience with Salesforce
- Experience working in Agile projects
- Strong understanding of how to build and support highly scalable and reliable solutions on Salesforce Platform
- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues
- Demonstrated support success with at least one large Salesforce Org
- Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
- Exceptional analytical skills and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets
Nice to have
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or Developer certification preferred
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification preferred
