Senior Developer Advocate, GenAI, AWS Developer Experience

About the role

Developer Experience team at AWS empowers developers to adopt cutting‑edge technologies. The Senior Developer Advocate creates technical content, tutorials and workshops on integrating Generative AI into software development, mentors developers and feeds insights back to product teams. Bengaluru, India, on‑site role with occasional travel.

What you’ll do

• Create and present tutorials, articles and code samples on Generative AI integration
• Mentor developers and guide them in adopting AI‑powered development workflows
• Gather developer feedback to influence AWS product roadmaps and feature design
• Participate in early‑stage product ideation for developer tools and services
• Support Developer Relations activities across the region

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field
• 12+ years software development and cloud computing experience
• Experience with generative AI models (text, image, video) and concepts like LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, fine‑tuning
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills

Nice to have

• Developed applications using generative AI tools and foundational models
• Proficient with LLM/AI tools such as LlamaIndex, Amazon Q, LangChain, vector databases
• Experience with AWS AI/ML services like Amazon Bedrock
• Created technical content and engaged developer communities on GitHub, Stack Overflow
• Willingness to travel as required
