About the role
Cloud Engineering team at CBTS builds secure, scalable cloud platforms for enterprise clients. The Sr. Engineer Security leads day‑to‑day firewall, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection management, conducts vulnerability assessments, and responds to incidents. Based in Chennai, the role requires on‑site presence with occasional remote collaboration.
What you’ll do
- Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents
- Tune SIEM rules and dashboards for threat visibility
- Collaborate with IT, Network, and Cloud teams for secure configuration
- Support audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments
- Prepare security documentation, SOPs, and incident playbooks
- Mentor junior engineers
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years security engineering
- Experience with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of firewall and IDS/IPS
- Vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Incident response and threat hunting
- Compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
- Strong scripting (Python, Bash)
- Team leadership
