About the role
To drive technical excellence and innovation by leading design and implementation of robust software solutions, providing mentorship to engineering teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to strategic planning to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
What you’ll do
- Guide engineering teams on best practices and technical excellence
- Align technical decisions with business goals and future tech trends
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable software solutions
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers for professional growth
- Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders
- Innovate by integrating new technologies and industry practices
- Lead large team or sub-function, embed performance culture
- Serve as deep technical expert and thought leader on organization-wide projects
- Provide expert advice to senior management and committees
- Coordinate resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for sub-function
- Escalate policy breaches appropriately
- Foster compliance and regulatory adherence
- Monitor external environment, regulators, advocacy groups
- Demonstrate knowledge of function integration with business division
- Maintain industry knowledge and sector insights
- Use advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems
- Negotiate with senior stakeholders
- Act as principal contact for key clients and counterparts
- Serve as spokesperson for function and business division
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's in CS/Engineering/Math or related discipline
- 12+ years in Software Engineering/Data Science/Analytics, 5+ in AI/ML
- Design scalable, production-grade AI/ML platforms and systems
- Deep expertise in LLMs, training, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering
- GenAI/AgenticAI (LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, Strands SDK, Google ADK, MCP, A2A)
- Proficient in deep learning, NLP, RL, and LLM techniques
- Strong Python/R programming for AI/ML development
- DevOps & CI/CD experience (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
Nice to have
- PhD in CS/Engineering/Math/Stats or related discipline
- Experience establishing AI/ML best practices, standards, ethics
- Knowledge of banking, financial products, and services
