Senior Technical Consultant - Cloud

About the role

This role is for a Senior Technical Consultant - Cloud within the Order Management and Micro-fulfillment SaaS product team, based in Bangalore. You will architect and design a ground-up cloud-native SaaS product on Microsoft Azure alongside distinguished architects, while mentoring junior and mid-level associates in a 60+ person global team spanning the US, India, and UK. Day-to-day work involves driving simpler and more robust service architectures, writing and reviewing service descriptions, mitigating technical challenges early, and representing product vision and roadmaps to internal stakeholders and strategic customers.

What you’ll do

• Drive architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient
• Write and review service descriptions including relevant measures of service quality, and drive architecture to deliver self-healing, reliable services requiring minimum manual intervention
• Provide early visibility and mitigation to technical challenges throughout the development journey
• Confidently represent the product and portfolio, including vision and functional and technical roadmaps, within the company and to strategic customers when necessary
• Mentor junior and mid-level software associates in the team
• Architect and design a ground-up cloud-native SaaS product in order management and micro-fulfillment alongside counterparts and distinguished architects
• Work within a scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure multi-tenant microservices architecture
• Leverage the existing technical environment including Java, Springboot, React, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, REST API, OAuth, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, and Ignite

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in software development, ideally starting as a Software Engineer
• Strong programming experience in Enterprise Java, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, REST API, and OAuth
• Demonstrable experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise cloud solutions on Azure
• Demonstrable experience with microservices-based architecture on cloud at scale
• Experience implementing event-driven architecture using Kafka, Spark, or similar technologies
• Hands-on development skills combined with architecture/design experience; must not have moved away from software development
• Thorough knowledge and interest in cloud-native architecture, distributed microservices, multi-tenant SaaS solutions, and cloud scalability, performance, and high availability
