About the role
GOEM Operations & Global Demand Management team at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited drives operational efficiency and manufacturing excellence across its GOEM partner network. The Assistant General Manager leads strategic planning, capacity management, cost optimization, and compliance for genset manufacturing, coordinating NPI and plant expansion initiatives. Based in Khadki, Pune, on-site role with mandatory travel to partner sites.
What you’ll do
- Drive operational excellence initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) at GOEM sites
- Manage capacity planning and support plant expansion projects
- Lead cost optimization and VAVE initiatives
- Oversee product realization and first-time-right delivery
- Coordinate NPI activities and ensure compliance with standards
- Conduct plant assessments, audits, and improve GOEM health scores
- Serve as primary liaison for GOEM partners and internal teams
What you’ll bring
- 12 years experience in genset manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
- Lean Six Sigma expertise
- Capacity planning and new product introduction
- Cost optimization (VAVE)
- Stakeholder management with GOEM partners
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
