Senior Associate, Microsoft Power BI Developer

About the role

Northern Trust seeks a Sr Associate, MS Power BI Developer in Pune, India, to maintain the Service Availability Framework and deliver Power BI dashboards and MI reports that demonstrate ITSM process quality (Incident, Problem, Change). Day-to-day work includes building and deploying Service Availability dashboards, managing portal controls and slicers, driving knowledge sharing and automation innovation, facilitating process workflow modelling, and reviewing trends to ensure services meet agreed SLAs. The role reports to the ITSM Service Availability team and is based at the Pune office.

What you’ll do

• Build Power BI dashboards and MI reports to demonstrate the quality of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, and Change)
• Maintain the Service Availability Framework, processes, procedures, controls, KPIs, and artefacts to ensure services are assessed, monitored, and managed against technology targets and business/client
• Manage the Service Availability In-Sight Portal controls and ensure slicers are reflected accurately, engaging stakeholders as necessary
• Ensure knowledge creation is sustained, accumulated, stored, and shared securely
• Drive innovation of knowledge to maximize automation through AI or other techniques while maintaining quality standards and policies
• Facilitate and drive process workflow modelling to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities, and clearly defined end-to-end use cases with interdependencies
• Review information and trends to ensure process outputs achieve desired results and services meet agreed-upon service levels
• Map end-to-end views of application dependencies and underlying infrastructure to ensure overall SLA/availability targets can be met for service recovery to expected ITOL

What you’ll bring

• College or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience
• 5+ years of Power BI development experience
• Competent in Microsoft Power BI, SQL scripting, ServiceNow, Azure, Snowflake, and data warehousing
• Proficient in ServiceNow, SharePoint, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office tools
• Demonstrated experience in process workflow initiatives and complex architecture/application designs
• ITIL certification with practical awareness of at least two ITIL capabilities (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Release, Capacity, Configuration)
• Strong stakeholder management within Technology and Business
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
