Senior Manager, Corporate Real Estate Governance

About the role

Corporate Real Estate Governance team at Cognizant drives governance across real estate projects, contracts, and third‑party engagements. The Senior Manager leads governance oversight for site acquisitions, expansions, fit‑outs and workplace technology implementations, establishing checkpoints and risk controls throughout project lifecycles. Hybrid role based in Chennai with attendance at Cognizant offices as required, collaborating with Legal, Finance, Procurement and Business Leadership to ensure compliance and commercial soundness.

What you’ll do

• Lead governance oversight for major real estate projects
• Establish and embed governance checkpoints throughout project lifecycles
• Govern commercial contracts and vendor agreements
• Provide risk‑based recommendations during negotiations and RFPs
• Drive third‑party risk oversight and audit readiness

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in corporate real estate governance and contract management
• Strong commercial acumen and risk management capabilities
• Proven stakeholder management across legal, finance and procurement
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance or related field
• MBA or Master’s in Real Estate preferred
