Java Senior Engineer

About the role

Iris Software is seeking a Java - Senior Engineer to join its IT services team in Noida, UP, India. The role focuses on designing and developing scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, with ownership of end-to-end module delivery, performance optimization, and mentoring junior developers. The position requires 5-8 years of experience and is based at the Noida office.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Define API contracts, service boundaries, and integration strategies for distributed systems.
• Develop reusable backend components and enterprise services following clean architecture and secure coding practices.
• Optimize application performance through caching, asynchronous processing, database tuning, and JVM optimization.
• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned modules including design, development, testing support, and deployment readiness.
• Conduct code reviews ensuring adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Design event-driven architectures and asynchronous communication mechanisms to improve system scalability and resilience.
• Mentor junior developers on coding standards, debugging techniques, and modern Java development practices.

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years of Java development experience
• Proficiency in Java 8+ and Core Java
• Strong OOPS concepts and Design Principles
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Security (JWT)
• Microservices and REST API development
• Multithreading and Concurrency in Java
