About the role

Vanguard India Technology team drives AI, mobile, and cloud solutions for Vanguard's investment platforms. The Technical Lead provides expert-level backend architecture, performance optimization, and security for enterprise applications while mentoring developers and enforcing technical standards. Hyderabad, Telangana, India, hybrid (3 days onsite).

What you’ll do

• Lead architecture and design for backend services
• Optimize performance and ensure secure, resilient systems
• Approve technical solutions and resolve complex issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate risks and strategies
• Maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams
• Drive continuous improvement of standards and emerging tech adoption
• Participate in product lifecycle reviews and provide technical guidance
• Ensure compliance with IT and information security policies

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years software development and architecture experience
• Expertise in Java and AWS
• Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
• Front‑end experience with React or Node
• Design secure, scalable, modular solutions
• Mentor and coach development teams
• Drive technical governance and code reviews
