About the role
Senior Solution Architect at SailPoint Technologies will lead technical design and implementation for enterprise identity governance solutions. Based in Pune, India, the role supports APJ time zones and involves gathering customer business use cases, documenting product-based requirements, and recommending solution designs. The architect will educate customers and partners on high‑level product architecture, functional design, and best practices, assist in scoping, analysis, and documentation of implementation projects, and develop technical training for SailPoint implementation partners. Responsibilities also include helping team members design creative solutions to complex problems and delivering technical solutions through code or configuration. Candidates must have 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise software, systems integration, or consulting, with 5+ years of SailPoint/IDAM experience, strong software development, implementation, and configuration skills, excellent communication and consultative client engagement, and experience with XML, SPML/SOAP, web and application servers, Windows and Unix platforms, relational and NoSQL databases, LDAP/AD directories, Java, BeanShell, JavaScript Node.js, SAP, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, GCP, and front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular, React, Vue.js). Preferred qualifications include familiarity with other identity governance vendors, AI/ML concepts, role‑based access controls, project management, quality assurance, and security audit experience. A Computer Science or Engineering degree, J2EE or CISSP certification, and SailPoint Certified Engineer or Solution Architect certification (expected within 12 months) are also desired.
What you’ll do
- Located in PUNE supporting of APJ timezones (Asia Pacific)
- Gathering customers' business use cases and documenting product-based requirements with recommended solution designs
- Educating customers and partners on high-level product architecture, functional design, and best practices
- Assisting in the scoping, analysis, and documentation of implementation projects
- Developing and delivering technical training designed to enable/educate SailPoint implementation partners
- Helping implementation team members design creative solutions to complex problems
- Assisting with the actual technical delivery of the solution via written code or complex configuration
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years of professional work experience as part of an enterprise software company, systems integrator, or consulting firm; 5+ years of SailPoint / IDAM experience
- Experience in software development, implementation, and configuration
- Excellent communications skills and extensive experience working directly with clients and partners
- Strong customer facing consultative experience
- Experience with XML, SPML/SOAP, web and application servers
- Windows and Unix (Linux, Sun, HP, AIX) platforms
- Relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
- Directories (LDAP, AD)
- Java, BeanShell, JavaScript Node.js
- Enterprise resource planning or service management systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow)
- Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Front-end language experience (HTML, CSS, Angular, React, Vue.js)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with other identity governance vendors such as Microsoft, Sun, Oracle, IBM, or Novell a plus
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts a plus
- Familiarity with role-based access controls and least-privileged access models a plus
- Experience with project management duties (project planning, resource management, scope, schedule and status, documentation)
- Experience with quality assurance duties is a plus (usability testing, performance testing, automated testing, test scripts, test cases and test plans)
- Security software or IT audit experience
