Engineer I Electrical & Electronics Engineering

About the role

Vertiv seeks an Engineer I in Pune, India, to design and develop rectifier hardware for power infrastructure solutions. The role involves creating project timelines, conducting peer reviews, and solving production issues while adhering to global engineering processes. This is an on-site position requiring a Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in power electronics.

What you’ll do

• Hardware design and development of rectifier product projects
• Create project timelines and organize collaborative meetings
• Ensure projects comply with specifications and timelines
• Perform peer reviews for technical accuracy
• Handle and solve market and production problems
• Maintain knowledge of new trends and technologies to improve efficiency

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in power electronics design & development
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing
• Experience with Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design
• Familiarity with PFC, inverter circuit, buck, boost & LLC circuit principles
• Knowledge of magnetic design

Nice to have

• Familiarity with control theory, analog, digital & electric systems
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and solutions
• Exposure to computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
• Exposure to embedded software development
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
