Associate - Asset & Wealth Management Operations

About the role

Goldman Sachs' Asset & Wealth Management Operations team in Bengaluru seeks an Associate to support the Alternative Private Operations group. The role involves collaborating with controllers and technologists on product implementation, position creation, and risk mitigation for diverse asset types. This is an on-site position based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with controllers, fund management, and technologists on implementing new businesses and products
• Ensure transactions and positions are processed and correctly captured in relevant systems
• Complete internal system setups for new transactions
• Manage invoice and tax payments, custody, and cash confirmations
• Perform financing facility interest calculations and exception management
• Participate in process improvements and system enhancements
• Escalate items at risk of not being completed to senior team members
• Mitigate risks across various desks’ investing strategies

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or business management
• Front-to-back understanding of fund products including private markets and alternatives
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with excellent academic record
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have

• Previous relevant Operations experience
• Accounting background including journal entries, reconciliations, and interest calculations
• Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
