About the role
Amgen seeks a Sr. Manager, Data Governance Lead to operationalize Enterprise Data Council vision across domains such as Research, Clinical, Commercial. Lead a team of specialists, enforce governance policies, ensure data quality, privacy, and regulatory compliance, publish metrics, and collaborate with MDM, architecture, and business teams to build data foundations for AI solutions.
What you’ll do
- Govern data governance and management for domain
- Manage team of Data Governance Specialists and Stewards
- Operationalize Enterprise data governance framework
- Align stakeholder community with governance needs
- Enforce data quality, access controls, privacy, security
- Collaborate with MDM and Reference Data to enforce standards
- Drive cross-functional alignment on governance principles
- Guide business process and system design for governance
- Maintain documentation on data definitions, standards, flows
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, regulatory policies
- Publish metrics to measure policy effectiveness
- Establish enterprise standards on nomenclature, content, structure
- Define specifications with technology, business, enterprise teams
What you’ll bring
