About the role

Wood Mackenzie leads global energy analytics. Senior Research Analyst drives research, modelling, and client engagement for Asian power markets, delivering insights on policy, trends, and investment dynamics. Collaborates with global teams to refine models, manage data workflows, and present findings to stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Track regulatory changes and investment signals in power markets
• Assess impact on generation mix, pricing, operations
• Develop tech outlooks and price forecasts with regional models
• Integrate battery storage, curtailment, grid flexibility into models
• Ensure forecasts are robust, bankable, industry-aligned
• Collaborate globally to improve modelling methods and data quality
• Support advanced analytical tools for transactions and valuation
• Manage data workflows, analyze, deliver high-quality outputs
• Build client and stakeholder relationships
• Deliver insights via presentations, reports, advisory projects
• Respond to client queries with data-driven analysis
• Collaborate cross-functionally for seamless delivery

What you’ll bring

• 8+ yrs in developer, consultancy, equity research, PE, finance, or market org
• Strong analytical/quantitative skills, modelling in Plexos/Aurora
• Authored research papers and client presentations
• Proficient with large datasets, Python, SQL, Power Query
• Optimization modelling experience preferred
