Senior Manager - Warehouse

About the role

Swiggy's Instamart team in Kolkata is seeking a Senior Manager - Warehouse to oversee large, technologically enhanced big-box warehouse operations. Day-to-day, you will drive SOPs and KPIs, manage warehouse efficiencies and SLAs, handle mid-mile and reverse logistics, coordinate with Dark Store operations, and plan for peak seasons. The role requires full-time office/field work from the office on all days outside your base location.

What you’ll do

• Manage large, big-box technologically enhanced high-end warehouse operations
• Drive SOP and KPI for warehousing operations and benchmark them
• Work closely with all functions to achieve overall business goals
• Manage warehouse efficiencies and SLAs
• Handle distribution (mid-mile logistics) and plan/manage reverse logistics
• Plan and identify root causes of inventory deviation through cause-and-effect analysis
• Drive productivity and improve cost efficiency
• Manage FEFO & FIFO, coordinate with Dark Store operations for smooth material movement, conduct warehouse stock audits, and reduce shrink

What you’ll bring

• 7-10 years of overall experience
• Effective analytical skills
• Strong communications skills
• Excel skills
• Experience managing large, big-box technologically enhanced high-end warehouse operations
• Ability to work with 3PL partners
• Experience managing a large team (City heads/WH heads reporting in)
• Experience in warehousing planning, distribution & logistic operations of leading organizations

Nice to have

• 3 to 4 years of experience in establishing and managing multiple large, big-box technologically enhanced high-end warehouse & logistic operations
• F&V (fruits and vegetables) experience is an added advantage
• Ability to work as a team player in a target-driven work environment
• Ability to think consumer first and create innovative solutions for consumer needs
• Ability to forecast and determine productivity requirements to meet building objectives
• Ability to develop systems, processes, and infrastructure related to warehouse & logistics
• Implemented lean process and innovative technology solutions to improve automation and productivity
• Ability to analyze various business scenarios and recommend prompt actions for exponentially expanding business
