About the role

Iris Software seeks a Senior QA Automation SDET in Gurugram to design and maintain scalable Java automation frameworks for mission-critical Capital Markets applications. The role involves API testing, database validation, and regulatory reporting support within Agile/DevOps environments. This is an on-site position requiring deep expertise in SDET practices and financial domain knowledge.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java
  • Execute API automation testing using REST Assured for backend and service layers
  • Perform SQL-based database testing, data validation, and reconciliation testing
  • Automate backend, legacy systems, batch processes, and enterprise integrations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards in Agile/DevOps environments
  • Apply TDD principles and risk management strategies to quality engineering tasks
  • Utilize Selenium for UI automation and CI/CD tools for build and deployment
  • Manage development tasks and track progress using JIRA

What you’ll bring

  • 6-8 years experience in Software Testing/Quality Engineering with SDET and Java Automation expertise
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using Java
  • Strong hands-on coding skills in Java, including OOP, design patterns, and best practices
  • Extensive experience in API automation testing using REST Assured and backend/service-layer validation

Nice to have

  • Strong Capital Markets domain experience, particularly in OTC Derivatives products
  • Prior experience in Regulatory Reporting across ASIC, CSA, CFTC, ESMA, or FCA regulations
  • Experience automating backend, legacy systems, batch processes, and enterprise integrations
  • Proficiency in SQL, database testing, data validation, and reconciliation testing
