Senior Software Engineer - .Net Web Engineer

About the role

Chubb India seeks a Senior .NET Web Engineer Lead to drive the end-to-end web strategy for its digital portfolio in Telangana, India. The role involves leading architecture, engineering standards, and AI-augmented delivery for over 50 websites and a mission-critical Agent Portal using Angular and .NET middleware. This on-site position requires technical leadership to mentor teams and define multi-year technology roadmaps.

What you’ll do

• Define and own the web chapter's multi-year technology roadmap
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted development practices using Claude
• Architect and govern a scalable monorepo strategy using Nx
• Define standards for .NET middleware layer powering API aggregation
• Own technical strategy for the mission-critical Agent Portal
• Set and enforce engineering standards for code quality and testing
• Mentor senior, mid-level, and junior engineers on architectural principles
• Partner with product and design leadership to translate business needs

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years of experience in web engineering
• 2+ years in technical leadership or chapter/guild lead role
• Expert-level Angular experience in enterprise contexts
• Hands-on experience with .NET middleware (ASP.NET Core)
• Proven experience managing large-scale multi-site portfolios
• Strong grasp of monorepo tooling, specifically Nx

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI tools like Claude into workflows
• Microsoft Azure certification (AZ-204 or AZ-305) is an advantage
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms integrated with Angular
• Knowledge of Angular Universal / SSR trade-offs
• Experience with Module Federation for micro-frontend architecture
• Experience in insurance or financial services environments
