About the role
Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division seeks a Manager for the Client Clearing Financing & Analytics team in Mumbai. The role provides analytical support for financing, capital optimization, and liquidity analytics while driving automation initiatives. This full-time position operates on-site in India.
What you’ll do
- Produce and maintain recurring reporting and analytics related to client clearing financing, profitability, balance sheet usage, capital consumption, liquidity impacts, and clearinghouse activity.
- Support financing strategy execution through analysis of client balances, financing charges, returns, and pricing inputs.
- Perform financial and business performance analysis, including investigating drivers of financing revenue, balances, returns, and variance trends.
- Assist with capital and balance sheet optimization initiatives by gathering data and conducting quantitative analysis.
- Support CCP concentration margin management processes by monitoring exposures and maintaining analytics.
- Produce liquidity and funding analytics to quantify resource consumption and identify optimization opportunities.
- Partner with Technology and Strats teams to improve reporting infrastructure and automate manual processes.
- Respond to ad-hoc business requests by performing data analysis and delivering actionable insights.
What you’ll bring
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in financial services, analytics, risk management, finance, treasury, operations, or capital markets.
Nice to have
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of listed derivatives, cleared OTC products, prime brokerage, or clearing services is preferred.
- Experience using data visualization, reporting, or workflow automation tools is preferred.
