About the role

Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Technical Service Lab at Sika in Pune, India. The role leads a chemical/material testing laboratory, ensuring ISO 9001 and automotive standards compliance while driving continuous improvement in testing accuracy and turnaround time. It serves as the technical interface between R&D, Sales, and customers, providing failure analysis, root cause analysis, and CAPA recommendations to support new product development and customer confidence. The position is on-site in Pune with a focus on automotive and industry applications.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage laboratory operations
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive standards
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause analysis
• Support R&D for new product development
• Act as technical interface between Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, and Customers
• Drive continuous improvement in testing accuracy and turnaround time
• Provide MIS reports on lab performance
• Mentor laboratory staff

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in Chemical/Polymer Science or related field
• 10-12 years R&D/Technical service lab experience
• Experience in adhesives and sealants industry
