About the role
Quest Global Engineering Team builds innovative software solutions for global clients. As a Java AWS Developer you will design, develop, test and deploy scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and AWS services, collaborate with distributed agile scrum teams, and mentor junior engineers. Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop backend applications and microservices
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs
- Participate in architecture and design discussions
- Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Mentor junior engineers and foster team skill growth
- Collaborate within distributed agile scrum teams
What you’ll bring
- 5-8 years Java development
- Proficiency with Spring Boot
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, SNS, Kinesis, CloudWatch)
- Docker containerization
- SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake)
- CI/CD pipelines and GitHub
- Agile software development
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
