About the role

Advanced Research team at GE Vernova drives electrification, renewables and power innovation. The Senior Engineer leads R&D programs, builds technology roadmaps and delivers early‑stage power system solutions from concept to product. Works with cross‑business leaders and external partners to develop and demonstrate grid technologies. Bengaluru, on-site, relocation assistance provided.

What you’ll do

• Identify electrical and grid technology needs with product and service leaders
• Create and maintain technology roadmaps and strategic collaborations with universities and partners
• Lead early‑stage technology development and scale prototypes to field implementation
• Coordinate disruptive technology efforts across GE Vernova businesses
• Deliver demonstrations of new technologies to internal and external customers

What you’ll bring

• Doctorate in Electrical Engineering – Power Systems with 10+ years experience or Masters with 14+ years
• 8+ years deploying electrical systems and leading large projects
• Deep domain knowledge of power system operation, control, protection, optimization and market dynamics
• Hands‑on lab development, testing and validation of power hardware using PSCAD, Matlab/Simulink, DigSilent, Python, C++
• Experience leading large research programs and writing successful R&D proposals
