Senior Devops Engineer - Customer Engineering Team

About the role

Senior DevOps Engineer at Harness drives cloud infrastructure design, IaC, and SRE practices for the Customer Engineering Team. Builds scalable, secure AWS/GCP/Azure environments, implements Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, and Ansible/Chef/Puppet. Leads monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, GCM, and applies SRE principles—error budgets, SLIs, SLOs. Designs CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Harness, automates operations, and ensures security and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS). Collaborates with developers, product managers, and ops, mentors juniors, and supports AI‑OPS initiatives. Requires 3+ years in cloud engineering or SRE, a bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent, and proficiency in Python, Go, Git, and cloud-native services. Hybrid role in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years cloud engineering/SRE experience
• Proficient in AWS, GCP, Azure and cloud-native services
• Skilled in Terraform, Helm, Ansible/Chef/Puppet
• Experience with AI-OPS, SRE principles, error budgets, SLIs, SLOs
• Strong monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, GCM
• CI/CD pipeline expertise using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI or Harness
• Coding in Python, Go, etc. and Git proficiency
• Security best practices, ISO 27001/SOC 2/PCI DSS knowledge
