About the role
Senior ML Engineer on Roku’s Ad Engineering Creative Services team, building a next‑generation generative AI‑powered video creative platform. Designs and implements the end‑to‑end pipeline from advertiser input to model inference, output validation, and integration with Roku creative APIs. Works closely with ML, backend, frontend, and creative stakeholders to deliver a production‑ready, self‑serve product that improves speed, quality, and scalability for video ad creation. Bengaluru, Hybrid (office Monday‑Thursday, remote Friday).
What you’ll do
- Define technical architecture and stack for AI‑powered video creative generation
- Evaluate generative AI video models, LLMs, multimodal systems, and orchestration frameworks
- Design and build pipeline from advertiser input to model inference, output validation, and integration with Roku creative APIs
- Build production‑grade systems with error handling, output validation, compliance, and brand safety guardrails
- Partner cross‑functionally with ML, backend, frontend, and creative teams
- Drive technical decisions influencing product quality, scalability, and time‑to‑market
What you’ll bring
- Experience building video creative or video ad generation systems
- Strong understanding of modern generative AI video models
- Experience with LLM and multimodal pipelines
- Deployment of ML systems in production (model serving, containerization, CI/CD, monitoring)
- Hands‑on PyTorch/HuggingFace/Diffusers
- Java or Python production engineering
- Evaluation of generative systems (human review, automated metrics, A/B testing)
- Error handling and compliance guardrails
Nice to have
- Experience building video creative or video ad generation systems
