Engineer I/II Product Development

About the role

Copeland, a global climate technologies company, seeks an Engineer I/II in Pune to advance next-generation HVAC/R and compressor innovations. The role involves design engineering, simulation-driven development, and project support for new product programs. This is a hybrid position based in Pune, India.

What you’ll do

• Support advanced technology and NPD projects including concept development and prototype support
• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CAD software
• Perform engineering calculations and design analysis for component and system-level development
• Conduct FEA simulations for structural analysis and GT multi-physics simulations for optimization
• Correlate simulation results with test data to support design improvements
• Support project engineering activities including schedule tracking and milestone reporting
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Project Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
• Participate in design reviews, technical risk reviews, and product development gate reviews

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1-3+ years of experience in design engineering or product development
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as NX, Creo, or SolidWorks
• Experience with FEA tools like ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics
