About the role

Appian Platform Engineering team builds a fast, scalable low-code automation platform. As a Software Engineer II you will develop core platform features, optimize performance, and bridge code, design, and user perspectives. Chennai, India, on-site, full-time.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain core platform components
• Ensure platform performance and scalability
• Collaborate across design and user experience teams
• Write clean, well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and mentorship

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years professional software engineering experience
• Strong coding skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Solid understanding of OOP principles
• Proficiency with data structures and algorithms
