Senior Software Technologist

About the role

Philips, a health technology company dedicated to improving global healthcare access, seeks a Senior Software Technologist in Bangalore. This role focuses on DevOps and engineering, ensuring system scalability while driving innovation in continuous delivery and deployment methodologies. The position is office-based with a hybrid work model requiring at least three days per week in the facility.

What you’ll do

• Ensure systems being developed are scalable and reliable by sitting with developers
• Own the innovation of new mechanisms to reduce friction in getting software into production
• Provide direct support with day-to-day infrastructure responsibilities
• Accelerate technologies used at Philips through continuous delivery and deployment
• Document processes, procedures, and best practices
• Migrate systems between various technologies

What you’ll bring

• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience focused on DevOps, build, release and deployment
• Intermediate level coding skills in Python, Bash, or similar
• Experience working with building CI/CD pipelines and configuration management
• Solid understanding of Docker and AWS for cloud deployment
• Deep knowledge of developer workflows with Git
• Ability to use AI for automating and simplifying complex workflows
