About the role

The Medical Billing Trainee role supports the Revenue Cycle Management process by handling daily data entry of patient demographics and insurance information into billing systems. Day-to-day duties include entering charge details, performing eligibility verification, correcting invalid data, meeting productivity and quality targets, and adhering to HIPAA and client-specific instructions while participating in ongoing training. Based in Royapettah, Tamil Nadu, India, this position requires a minimum of 1+ year of experience as a Charge Poster.

What you’ll do

Accurately enter patient demographics
Perform eligibility checks for insurance to ensure the proper plan is being billed
Accurately enter charge details like CPT, Diagnosis, etc.
Research and correct any missing or invalid data entry information
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations (HIPAA)
Adhere to customer-provided client-specific instructions
Actively participate in all training activities including induction, client-specific, and refresher training on billing and compliance
Adhere to the company's information security guidelines

What you’ll bring

Any Degree
Minimum 1+ years of work experience as a Charge Poster in Revenue Cycle Management Process
A brief understanding of the entire Medical Billing Cycle
Ability to accurately enter patient demographics
Ability to perform insurance eligibility checks
Ability to accurately enter charge details such as CPT and Diagnosis
Ability to meet daily productivity goals consistently
Ability to meet or exceed department quality scores

Nice to have
