Junior Fullstack Developer

About the role

Antarctica, a Mumbai-based climate tech firm, builds observability tools that help companies optimize costs, reduce emissions, and stay compliant. We seek a Junior Fullstack Developer to join our hybrid team, creating scalable RESTful APIs and responsive UIs with Node.js, Express, React, and modern front‑end tech. The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining both back‑end services and front‑end components, ensuring performance, maintainability, and cross‑browser compatibility. Candidates should bring 2+ years of full‑stack experience, strong JavaScript skills, and a passion for building clean, reusable code in a collaborative, client‑focused environment.

What you’ll do

• Create and consume RESTful APIs
• Design, develop, maintain internal and external apps
• Build efficient, testable, reusable modules
• Write high-quality, structured code and docs
• Focus on code maintainability and performance
• Troubleshoot, test, maintain core product and databases
• Adhere to style standards for fonts, colors, images
• Proficient in browser debugging and performance testing
• Handle cross-browser compatibility and responsive design

• Git, npm, yarn, version control
• User auth, multi-system integration, data source integration
• Server-side templating (Pug, EJS)
• Relational DBs (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres), schema design, SQL
• Frontend: JS/TS, HTML5, CSS3, LESS/SASS, Bootstrap, React.JS
• Reusable code libraries, RESTful API integration
• Build tools: Babel, Webpack, NPM, Yarn
• Optional: Three.js, D3.js
