About the role
Finance team at Hill International responsible for delivering accurate, compliant payroll across the EMEA region. The Payroll Specialist processes end‑to‑end payroll for multiple countries, ensures statutory compliance, partners with external vendors and internal HR/Finance, and supports month‑end and audit activities. Gurugram, India office, on‑site work model, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Process end‑to‑end payroll for multiple EMEA countries ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage monthly, bi‑weekly, and off‑cycle payroll runs per regional calendars
- Ensure compliance with country‑specific tax, social security, pension and labor laws
- Partner with external payroll vendors and local authorities for statutory filings
- Validate payroll inputs such as hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses and overtime
- Reconcile payroll reports, GL entries, tax filings and benefit deductions
- Coordinate with HR, Finance and Global Payroll to maintain accurate employee data
- Support audits, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end payroll activities
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 3–6 years payroll accounting experience
- Experience in engineering, consulting, construction management or professional services
- Experience supporting international project environments
- Experience with ERP systems (Deltek Vantagepoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Understanding of project financial management and billing processes
- Familiarity with multi‑currency transactions
