About the role

Technology Domain team at Wells Fargo builds and maintains core banking platforms. The Software Engineer will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives, design, code, test, and document Java full‑stack solutions, and identify service quality improvements. Bengaluru, India, on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects
• Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements
• Design, code, test, debug, and document Java full‑stack applications
• Review and analyze technical assignments and challenges
• Present recommendations and escalate issues as needed
• Exercise independent judgment within security and compliance requirements
• Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years software engineering experience
• Domain knowledge in home or consumer lending
• Experience with messaging systems such as MQ, Solace, Kafka
• Experience using GenAI developer tools like Copilot
• Experience in mortgage origination or underwriting
• Strong OOP, design patterns, secure coding
• Microservices, integration patterns, Oracle JDBC
• Proficiency with Gradle, Git, Agile delivery
