About the role
Information Technology group at DTCC delivers secure, reliable technology solutions for global capital markets. The Lead Software Development Engineer in Test will lead quality engineering practices, drive test strategy, automation, and regulatory testing across complex initiatives, partnering with software engineers and scrum teams. Hyderabad, India with a hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Define and execute test strategy for UI, API, database, and file-based workflows
- Maintain end‑to‑end traceability using JIRA/ALM and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead automation framework adoption and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor SDETs and promote shift‑left quality practices
- Track quality metrics, dashboards and report status to leadership
- Coordinate cross‑team validation, defect triage and risk mitigation
- Drive AI‑enabled test optimization and productivity improvements
- Collaborate with software engineers, product owners and delivery leads
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years software testing or quality engineering experience
- Experience leading test planning and execution in Agile environments
- Proficiency in Java or Python
- Automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Karate or Rest Assured
- Experience with JIRA and ALM/AQM
- Source control and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins
- Familiarity with AI Prompt Engineering and AI agents
- Financial services or regulatory testing experience preferred
