Technical Lead

About the role

Astrome Technologies seeks a Technical Lead to manage satellite mission programs, coordinating engineering teams, customers, and management to deliver projects on time and within budget. The role involves defining mission objectives, overseeing technical execution, developing schedules and budgets, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The candidate will lead cross‑functional collaboration, drive Agile transformation, and provide technical guidance throughout the program lifecycle.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate with engineering teams, customers, and management.
• Define and meet space mission objectives.
• Manage technical aspects, milestones, budgets.
• Act as primary technical point of contact.
• Develop and track project plans, schedules, budgets.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication.
• Implement risk management strategies.
• Lead project reviews and status updates.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Provide technical insights in design reviews.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors.
• Foster continuous improvement and innovation.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Aerospace, or related field.
• 10+ years program/project management experience in aerospace.
• Proven technical program management in satellite communications.
• Strong satellite technology, space systems engineering, mission planning.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall project management tools.
• Demonstrated cross-functional team leadership.

Nice to have

• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with Agile transformation initiatives.
