Deputy Manager - Supplier Quality Engineering (Electrical & Electronics)

About the role

Supplier Quality Engineering team at Mahindra & Mahindra ensures automotive electrical and mechanical components meet the highest quality standards. The role leads PPAP execution, conducts supplier audits, applies Six Sigma and APQP tools, and drives continuous improvement across the supplier base. Based in Chakan, India, on-site work model with regular supplier visits.

What you’ll do

• Lead execution of Production Part Approval Process with suppliers
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and audits
• Apply Six Sigma and QC Story analysis to identify root causes
• Monitor quality metrics via dashboards and monthly indicators
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across supplier base
• Collaborate with internal product engineering and manufacturing teams
• Develop and deliver supplier training on quality systems
• Drive innovation and capability development within supplier network

What you’ll bring

• 5-7 years supplier quality engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech)
• Experience with APQP and PPAP processes
• Six Sigma certification or experience
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 automotive standards
• Proficiency in supplier audits and performance reviews
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder communication skills
• Familiarity with automotive electrical components
