Technical Training Manager-Operations

About the role

AWS Data Center Operations seeks a Technical Training Manager in Mumbai to lead the Full-Time Training Team. The role involves developing training programs for infrastructure operations, managing trainers, and driving innovation through AI technology. This full-time position requires approximately 25% travel and supports global data center safety and efficiency.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of technical trainers
• Manage training programs for DCEO, DCO, ID, Decommissioning, and Logistics
• Implement standardized training processes adapting to audience needs
• Create and track performance metrics for training effectiveness
• Establish communication channels between FTT and stakeholders
• Drive innovation through AI technology and agile methodologies
• Support design of learning materials including exercises and assessments
• Measure and report training program impact

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of training or technical instruction leadership
• 4+ years of predictive/preventative maintenance procedures
• 4+ years of repairing material handling equipment
• 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards
• 3+ years leading training at regional/multi-site level
• 2+ years direct people management experience
• 1+ years Microsoft Office experience

Nice to have

• Experience managing training across multiple sites/regions
• LMS administration and reporting experience
• Technical writing or instructional design background
• Project management experience or PMP certification
• Data analysis skills for program improvement
