About the role

Azure NetApp Files (ANF) team builds industry‑leading cloud storage services for enterprise workloads in Microsoft Azure. The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, and operates cloud‑native, distributed data‑plane services using Go, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. Bangalore office, on‑site, hybrid collaboration with product, architecture, and cross‑functional teams, with relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Own design, development, and operational excellence of data‑plane services
• Lead features through full software lifecycle from architecture to production support
• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs on cloud‑native infrastructure
• Drive engineering quality through code reviews, automated testing, and security best practices
• Collaborate with product management, architects, and cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical growth across the organization
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement reliability improvements

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years software or systems engineering experience
• 3+ years data management or storage platform experience
• Strong proficiency in Go and experience with Python for automation
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Design and delivery of RESTful APIs and microservices
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and performance optimization
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
