Senior Lead Consultant, SAP PP & QM

About the role

Birlasoft, a global leader in Cloud, AI, and Digital technologies, seeks a Senior Lead Consultant for SAP PP & QM. The role leads design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Production Planning and Quality Management solutions, integrating with SAP MM, SD, PM, WM/EWM, and FI modules. Based in Pune, India, this on-site position involves mentoring junior consultants, driving S/4HANA migrations, and delivering end‑user training and documentation.

What you’ll do

• Lead SAP PP/QM implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects
• Gather and analyze business requirements for production planning and quality management
• Configure SAP PP modules: Demand Management, MRP, Production Orders, BOM, Work Centers, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Control
• Configure SAP QM processes: Quality Planning, Inspection, Notifications, Vendor Quality Management, Audit Management
• Integrate SAP PP/QM with other SAP modules and support S/4HANA migration
• Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements
• Conduct SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployments
• Develop documentation, training materials, and conduct end‑user training sessions

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years SAP PP/QM consulting experience
• Strong functional knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes
• Hands‑on SAP S/4HANA implementation expertise
• Experience integrating SAP modules (MM, SD, PM, WM/EWM, FI)
• Ability to prepare functional specs and coordinate with ABAP developers
• Proven track record leading rollout, upgrade, and support projects
• Experience conducting SIT, UAT, and production deployments
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills
