About the role

Jord International's Engineering department seeks a Contract Tekla Modeller in Vadodara, Gujarat, India to prepare 3D model layouts and 2D erection, assembly, and part drawings from design engineer inputs. The role involves modular structure modelling, custom connection application, connection detailing, Tekla programming with C#, model management, revision control, and supervising other drafters. The position requires expertise in the structural steel industry and adherence to Jord's procedures and standards.

What you’ll do

Prepare 3D model layouts from equipment, bought out items, and piping based on design engineer input
Prepare 2D drawings for erection, assembly, and part drawings per Jord International procedures and standards
Manage models and revision control in Tekla
Apply connection details, modular structural design, lifting lugs, structural welding codes, and bolt connection requirements
Detail secondary steel such as cable tray supports and pipe supports
Model fabricated beams, columns, ducts, and plates in Tekla
Generate Tekla reports including assembly, list, structure BOM, clash check, and bolt location lists
Supervise and train other drafters for accuracy and quality output

What you’ll bring

Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
At least ten years of experience as a Tekla draughtsman
Minimum five years of experience as a Lead Tekla Modeller
Expertise in custom connection application and connection detailing
Knowledge of modular structure modelling
Proficiency in Tekla programming with C# language
Experience in the structural steel industry as a main 3D Tekla modeller
Operating skill in AutoCAD and Navisworks
