Business Analyst, Senior Manager, Investment Management

About the role

State Street Investment Management team drives data, analytics, reporting and transformation for institutional investors. The Senior Business Analyst partners with investment, technology and stakeholder teams to gather requirements, perform SQL‑based data analysis, design solutions and ensure data quality for portfolio analytics, ESG and regulatory reporting. Bangalore, India, on-site role with hybrid collaboration across global teams.

What you’ll do

• Gather and analyze business requirements across investment functions
• Perform SQL data analysis to support reporting and decision‑making
• Translate requirements into functional specs, data mappings and solution designs
• Define business rules, data lineage, validation controls and reconciliation processes
• Support implementation, testing and stakeholder sign‑off activities
• Prepare documentation, process flows and user guides for technical and business audiences
• Collaborate to improve data quality, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
• Assist regulatory, client, management and ESG reporting initiatives

What you’ll bring

• 7-9 years Business Analyst experience in Investment/Asset Management
• Strong understanding of investment data, reporting and analytics
• SQL expertise for data analysis and validation
• Experience documenting requirements, data mappings and process flows
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income, derivatives, alternatives and multi‑asset investments
• Familiarity with mutual funds, ETFs, segregated mandates and commingled funds
• Stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration
• Exposure to ESG, sustainability and regulatory reporting
