Lead Software Engineer, Workday Finance

About the role

Workday Finance team at Blue Yonder builds and optimizes the Workday Financial Management platform for global finance operations. The Lead Software Engineer drives functional and technical leadership, manages enhancements, releases, integrations, and compliance while supporting month‑end close and reporting. Bangalore and Hyderabad, India, on-site work model, with flexibility for EMEA/US time‑zone collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Lead functional and technical implementation of Workday Financials modules
• Configure financial data model, business processes, security, and accounting rules
• Drive system enhancements, releases, testing, and deployment
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytics
• Manage integrations with external systems and ensure compliance with SOX
• Coordinate UAT, regression testing, and production validation
• Provide production support, root‑cause analysis, and change management

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years Finance Systems or ERP experience
• 5+ years hands‑on Workday Financials
• Workday Financials Certification
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
• Experience with Workday reporting, EIBs, integrations
• Proven stakeholder management across Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, IT
• Ability to work flexible shifts across EMEA and US time zones
• Experience managing global finance applications and support teams
