About the role
This Creative Strategist / Copywriter (E-Commerce) role is based in India and operates fully remotely. The position turns customer insights into high-performing paid social advertising by combining creative strategy, direct-response copywriting, and performance data analysis. Day-to-day work spans writing video scripts, static ads, landing pages, and email campaigns, plus translating concepts into creative briefs for design, video, and UGC teams. The role offers significant creative ownership and direct exposure to commercial results within a fast-moving DTC e-commerce environment.
What you’ll do
- Develop creative concepts, messaging angles, and campaign ideas based on customer insights, competitor research, and performance data.
- Write persuasive scripts for UGC and video advertisements, with a strong focus on capturing attention immediately and driving action.
- Create direct-response copy for static ads, landing pages, email campaigns, and other customer acquisition assets.
- Translate strategic ideas into clear, actionable creative briefs for designers, video editors, and UGC creators.
- Analyse advertising performance to identify winning creative patterns, audience responses, and opportunities for iteration.
- Continuously refine and expand successful concepts based on performance insights and testing results.
- Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to align creative output with campaign objectives, acquisition goals, and testing roadmaps.
- Monitor creative trends and emerging formats across Meta, TikTok, and other relevant advertising platforms.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years of professional experience in creative strategy and copywriting within DTC e-commerce, an agency, or a freelance environment.
- Proven experience creating high-performing paid social advertising for platforms such as Meta and TikTok.
- Strong understanding of direct-response copywriting, consumer psychology, persuasive messaging, and conversion principles.
- Demonstrated ability to turn customer research and performance data into actionable creative concepts.
- Experience writing video, UGC, static advertising, landing-page, and email copy.
- Strong understanding of what makes DTC advertising effective, including hooks, angles, offers, and calls to action.
- Excellent written English and strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and communicating asynchronously in a remote environment.
