Lead Engineer, IAM Platform Engineering

About the role

The Lead Engineer, IAM Platform Engineering at Cencora leads the strategic design and continuous evolution of enterprise-scale identity platforms to ensure resilient, highly secure user authentication globally. Day-to-day work includes formulating automated deployment pipelines and complex API integrations, analyzing platform telemetry and security logs for proactive defense, advising senior leadership on cloud migration and compliance capabilities, resolving tier-four platform outages, and evaluating emerging identity technologies and zero-trust frameworks. This full-time role is based in Pune, India.

What you’ll do

• Leads the strategic design and continuous evolution of enterprise-scale identity platforms to ensure resilient, highly secure user authentication globally.
• Formulates advanced automated deployment pipelines and complex API integrations to standardize secure access across all major digital transformation initiatives.
• Analyzes predictive platform telemetry and advanced security logs to engineer proactive defense mechanisms that neutralize systemic architectural vulnerabilities.
• Advises senior technology leadership on the structural capabilities required to support long-term corporate cloud migrations and compliance mandates.
• Resolves critical, tier-four platform outages and high-stakes identity disruptions by engineering high-level structural remediations and system hardening protocols.
• Evaluates emerging identity technologies and zero-trust frameworks to authorize strategic technical investments for the platform engineering organization.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, identity and access management, software development, systems administration, or a related field required.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certification in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or equivalent preferred.
