About the role

Aggreko is seeking a Head - Administration (India Campus) in Pune, India, to establish and oversee the administrative framework for a new manufacturing plant supporting 700+ employees. The role leads new facility setup, develops administrative policies, manages vendor and facility operations, handles workforce administration for contract and non-full-time staff, ensures HR and Indian labour law compliance, and coordinates global travel and event logistics. This full-time position shapes administrative operations from the ground up and transitions to ongoing facility support.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the administrative establishment of the new campus and manufacturing plant, including developing and implementing comprehensive administrative policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Manage vendor relationships for administrative services and general facility operations during both the setup and ongoing phases
  • Develop and manage attendance/leave systems for contract employees and oversee general staff administrative needs such as onboarding, record-keeping, and ID cards
  • Serve as the primary contact for administrative queries
  • Ensure all administrative processes align with HR policies and local labor law compliance
  • Manage end-to-end travel arrangements for international visitors and provide logistical support for internal and external facility events and meetings
  • Implement and enforce policies for efficient material usage and oversee the management and maintenance of common areas
  • Supervise cafeteria/canteen services and administer facility security

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 14+ years of progressive experience, with a significant portion in large-scale manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Proven ability to manage administrative functions for 500+ employees
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up administrative operations for a new facility or plant
  • Strong track record in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget control
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures
  • Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and administrative compliance requirements relevant to a manufacturing setup
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proactive, hands-on, and problem-solving approach to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure
