About the role

BPM India Advisory Service Private Limited (formerly Burr Pilger Mayer India Private Limited), a subsidiary of the California-based BPM LLP, is hiring a Senior Corporate Tax professional in Bengaluru. The role focuses on providing tax compliance and consulting to a diverse mix of corporate clients, overseeing complex tax research projects, and working with clients to minimize federal, state, and local tax liability. Day-to-day work also includes supervising tax associates' assignments, managing day-to-day delivery of tax compliance and consulting services, and developing and motivating associates through counseling, leadership, and career guidance. This is a full-time hybrid position.

What you’ll do

• Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse mix of corporate clients
• Develop and deliver innovative financial planning ideas that meet or exceed client expectations
• Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries
• Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability
• Supervise tax associates' assignments and manage the day-to-day delivery of tax compliance/consulting services to the client
• Develop and motivate tax associates by providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 4-6 years' experience in public accounting with an emphasis in Corporate Tax
• Degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience in researching complex tax issues and exposure to a variety of entities and industries
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrates proactive thinking
• Experience developing and training associate level professionals
• Strong desire to learn
