Associate Engineer Fluid Dynamics

About the role

Vertiv is hiring an Associate Engineer Fluid Dynamics in Pune, India to perform CFD analysis for system and component levels. The role involves preparing analysis models, conducting model checks, generating CFD meshes, running steady/transient flow and thermal simulations, and analyzing results to recommend design improvements for data center and cooling products. The position requires an ME/M.Tech in Thermal, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 months of CFD analysis experience.

What you’ll do

• Perform CFD analysis for system and component levels using software such as Reality DC, Celsius EC, Ansys Fluent, Ansys Icepak, Ansys Optislang, and Ansys CFX
• Prepare analysis models, conduct model checks, and create parametric models with available CAD packages
• Generate CFD mesh/model and run steady/transient flow and thermal analysis using different software
• Analyze results and prepare clear reports
• Utilize analytical skills and simulation tools to analyze fluid flow systems and provide recommendations for design improvements
• Interpret analysis results for base design and suggest modifications

What you’ll bring

• ME/M.Tech with specialization in Thermal Engineering, Aerospace, or Mechanical from a reputed institute
• Minimum 6 months of analysis experience in any CFD analysis software
• Undergone coursework in Fluid Mechanics, CFD, Heat Transfer, or Thermodynamics during masters
• Comfortable working with Creo/Pro-E for model checking
• Sound knowledge of fundamentals of Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics
• Excellent command of the English language
• Good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn, and good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Nice to have

• Experience in Cadence software or Ansys Icepack is added advantage
• Exposure in automation, scripting, or AI-assisted approaches is desirable
• Knowledge of fan operation and performance curves, flow bench, or wind tunnel operation
• Knowledge of telecommunication products like cabinets, enclosures, datacenter, refrigeration cycle, and sheet metal
